Professional Journey

Kim Newkirk is an accomplished senior executive, consultant, and ICF-certified executive coach. She has a proven track record of transforming talent management and learning organizations across various industries – from High Tech to Finance and Real Estate. Most recently, Kim was the SVP and Chief Talent and Learning Officer for Liberty Mutual Insurance. In this role, she was responsible for setting the enterprise strategy to develop Liberty’s talent, from new employees to the C-Suite. Kim has broad talent development expertise, including but not limited to leadership development, succession and pipeline planning, selection, assessments, and skill development. Kim is passionate about cultivating strong business partnerships, driving for stronger diversity, equity, and inclusion, and improving the culture supporting business strategy and results.

Before Liberty Mutual, Kim served in various talent, learning, HR, and finance business partner roles at Intel Corporation. She served as Head of Executive Development, where she transformed the VP selection process, built the executive development function, and partnered with multiple executive teams to increase teamwork and performance. Kim has led two learning and development turnarounds to increase business impact and lower costs.

Kim received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Emory University and an MBA from The George Washington School of Business in Finance.
